Guidelines for sending us your art files
Depending on what we are making for you, you may not have the best resolution or exact “VECTOR” type file format that we need. If we need to improve on your artwork there may be an additional fee of $85 per hour to “convert / trace” your supplied artwork into a format we can utilize. In addition, we will ask for an additional 24-48 hours to create your artwork.
- High Resolution is Key – Our preferred minimum is 300 dpi. This will prevent your images from being pixelated.
- Upload your file in PDF or EPS – PDF and EPS files are ideal for taking high-quality files and compressing it in a relatively small file. It is reliable and works on most operating systems.
- Make sure your colours matched to CMYK – The colours you may see on your computer monitor or phone screen might not be accurately replicated physically.
- Have your file in a separate attachment – DO NOT embed it within the email. It will potentially downgrade the resolution of your digital file.
- All fonts should be Outlined or Converted to Curves or font files provided.
- Exclude layers from your Export
- Check if your sign abides to your Strata, Company, Municipal policies. Sometimes, your building, corporation or local municipal might have their own rules, policies and standards. Confirming bylaws and policies and obtaining permits are the responsibility of the clients.
